New Super Speeder Law

Effective January 1, 2010 Georgia's Super Speeder Law (called HB160) goes into Effect.

How much higher are the fees? New Super Speeder Law $200 state-fee for any driver convicted of speeding at 75 or more on any two lane roads or convicted of speeding at 85 and over anywhere in Georgia.  These fees are in addition to any local fines in effect.

Who is a SuperSpeeder? Any driver convicted of violating HB160 will be classified as a Super Speeder.

Any other additional fees? Yes, failure to pay the Super Speeder fee results in an additional $50 fee and the suspension of driving privileges and license. 

Where do the collected fee go? Fees will help fund Georgia's trauma care hospital system where approximately sixty percent of trauma-care patients are crash-related.
