What is the Community Center used for?
Currently, the Community Center is used to book smaller events (birthday parties, baby showers,
bridal showers, family reunions, etc.). The long range plan is to also hold community
classes, so please stay tuned for that announcement.
What is the difference between the Community Center and the Merle Manders Conference Center (MMCC)?
The MMCC is a full service center that is used for larger, more formal events and has a variety of
rooms used for both social and corporate functions. The MMCC also has a staff person present
during each meeting or event, while the Community Center is operated on a "key" basis.

The Community Center is on 130 Berry St, Stockbridge, GA 30291

How many people will the Community Center hold?
The Community Center will hold up to 80 people seated.
How is the Community Center arranged and with what tables and chairs?
The Community Center is setup for 80 people at 60 inch round tables with black chairs each table.
There are also 5 6-foot rectangle tables available for use. The room can be changed;
however, must be put back to its original position before leaving.
Can alcohol be served?
No, alcohol is prohibited at the Community Center.
Is smoking allowed at the Community Center?
Only on the outside patio and cigarette butts MUST be placed in proper container.
Deposits will be retained for cigarette butts being on the patio or in the grass.
Is there a kitchen in the Community Center?
Yes, a kitchen is available for you or your caterer at the Community Center and comes with a full sized refrigerator,
a stove and oven, a microwave and an ice maker.
Is a patio available?
Yes, a patio is available off of the side of the Community Center.
Is there any AV equipment in the Community Center?
No AV equipment is available; however, you are welcome to bring your own equipment into the center.
Can church service be held at the Community Center?
Churches are welcome to rent consecutive Sundays for a period of 6 months while
they are in transition to the area or while their current location is under construction.
Is the Community Center available for rent every day of the year?
No, the Community Center is closed on major holidays and may be closed for rental during election times.

Do we need to clean-up after using the Community Center?
Yes, you are responsible for cleaning the Community Center and receipt of your security deposit depends on it.
There is a check-off sheet for you, so that you are aware of everything required.
