Good afternoon. The City of Stockbridge wants residents to know the facts about a proposal of an involuntary de-annexation of 50 percent of city property. Today the Senate State and Local Governmental Operations Committee held a hearing with a vote, in which the committee voted this morning 4-3 to recommend that the Georgia Senate pass Senate Bills 262 and 263.

Both proposed Georgia Senate Bills support the involuntary de-annexation of an already established city. The City of Stockbridge will continue to push forward as these bills continue along the legislative process. This process is far from over. In the meanwhile, your local government is hard at work for you.

We welcome and encourage community members to view the hearing here. Thank you for your interest in the City of Stockbridge. We are in this together.
