WATER RESTRICTIONS
Customers of the City of Stockbridge can now hand water their landscapes outdoors on a limited basis, per an order issued by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) on February 11, 2008. The City of Stockbridge remains under level four drought conditions.
Customers are now permitted to:
- Fill swimming pools.
- Water newly installed landscape during installation and on a limited basis thereafter – from midnight to 10:00 A.M. three days per week for 10 weeks, on the odd-even system.
- Hand water existing landscaping using one garden hose for 25 minutes, between midnight and 10:00 A.M. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays for even-numbered addresses and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays for odd-numbered addresses.

Important Sewer Notice
Sewer backup problems are very costly. Each individual citizen is responsible for the prevention of sewer backup problems. Human waste and toilet tissue only should be flushed down the commode. Bath water only should be drained from the bathtub and dirty water only should be drained from all sinks. Anything other than toilet tissue and water should be put in the garbage. This would be very helpful in preventing sewer backup problems in a residential community. Just remember, sewer backup problems are very costly and this cost is passed on to the consumer.
