On June 25th, 2008 the Georgia Environmental Protection Division approved the City’s petition requesting modification of the level IV water restrictions.

Outdoor water uses unaffected by the Level IVc modification:

Filling of swimming pools, without restrictions on day or time as provided for in HB 1281.

“Newly installed landscaping which has been in place less than 30 days may be watered up to three days a week within the hours of 12:00 midnight to 10:00am only for 10 consecutive weeks and during plant installation. Odd-numbered addresses may water newly installed landscaping Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Even-numbered addresses may water newly installed landscaping Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Any person watering newly installed landscaping must register with the Outdoor Water Use Registration Program at http:urbanagcouncil.com/….”

Prohibited outdoor water uses:

Important Sewer Notice

Sewer backup problems are very costly. Each individual citizen is responsible for the prevention of sewer backup problems. Human waste and toilet tissue only should be flushed down the commode. Bath water only should be drained from the bathtub and dirty water only should be drained from all sinks. Anything other than toilet tissue and water should be put in the garbage. This would be very helpful in preventing sewer backup problems in a residential community. Just remember, sewer backup problems are very costly and this cost is passed on to the consumer.
