The occasion will honor multiple women throughout the state of Georgia who have made significant impact.  Admission to the luncheon event  is free and open to the public. "Please join us as we celebrate 20 exceptional women in our community at the Visionary Women’s History Month Honors," said Stockbridge Councilman Elton Alexander. "This year represents our 4th annual awards presentation and we have added a brunch to celebrate  the historic groundbreaking accomplishments of women. We actually started the honors a bit early on Monday, February 25th at Stockbridge City Hall by honoring First Lt. Andrea Lewis for becoming the first African-American female pilot in the history of the Georgia National Guard. First Lt. Lewis credited her family for always encouraging her to pursue her dreams and take on new challenges; she also thanked her supportive husband! I joyfully look forward to honoring 20 additional trailblazing visionary women on this Sunday, March 3rd. I can proudly say that I spearheaded Stockbridge leading the way in introducing a Women’s History Month Proclamation in Henry County. We have now honored over 50 trailblazing women who have given so much of themselves for the greater good of our village. Congratulations to all of our honorees and all award nominees."

Registration is required prior to the event. Interested persons should call (678) 833-3348 or email Youth are encouraged to attend with adult supervision.
