Stockbridge, Georgia- May 2, 2019 - Stockbridge Councilman Alphonso Thomas will hold his Cemetery Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 9 am to 12 pm at Memorial Cemetery located at 106 Jennings Way in Stockbridge, Georgia. The public event will highlight the importance of community beatification and involvement.  All community members are welcomed to participate with the annual service initiative. Churches, sports teams and scout troops are encouraged to join the efforts.  Children must be accompanied by supervising adults. 

"Memorial Cemetery is an important historical asset to our community," said Stockbridge Councilman Alphonso Thomas. "Let's all join together to support the beautification efforts of this historical community site. Our communities are both irreplaceable and valuable and we certainly want to ensure the upkeep of this community treasure. Everyone is encouraged to join us at Memorial Cemetery on Saturday morning. Let's unite for a great cause." 

Volunteers are encouraged to bring rakes, weed eaters, blowers and gloves to clean up Memorial Cemetery. Participants should dress comfortable for the warm weather.
