Councilman Alphonso Thomas To Hold Cemetery Clean Up On Saturday


Stockbridge, Georgia- May 9, 2019 - Stockbridge Councilman Alphonso Thomas will hold his Cemetery Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 9 am to 12 pm at Memorial Cemetery located at 106 Jennings Way in Stockbridge, Georgia. The weekend event will highlight the importance of community beatification and involvement.  Community members are welcomed to participate with the community service initiative. Youth groups are encouraged to join the efforts as well.  Children must be accompanied by supervising adults at all times. 

"The Mother's Day Weekend is the perfect time to come together as one community to clean up Memorial Cemetery, " said Stockbridge Councilman Alphonso Thomas. " The site is an important historical asset in our community. I invite all community members out on Saturday to support our beautification efforts.  Let's come together for a very worthy cause." 

Volunteers are encouraged to bring rakes, weed eaters, blowers and gloves to clean up Memorial Cemetery. Participants should dress comfortable for the weather.
